House sitting reminds me of water coolers
February 24, 2010 5:27 am MiscellaneousBack in 2005 I started a water cooler company with an old friend of mine as a bolt on to his fathers existing company. There was a large amount of hard work that went into this project, but on the plus side these efforts are now being rewarded.
The first step for the company was ensuring that all of the procedures and policies were up to date and creating them in areas whereby they were not apparant. Another large step was ensuring that the governing body certifications were all in place and other certifications were met. Such certifications have included CHAS and Constructionline. All of the aforementioned has meant a lot of focus and education, but it has meant that the company has been awarded numerous large contracts including national companies and large public sector contracts including councils and the NHS as a whole.
Over the past 6 months we have been trying to build and expand the web based sales aspect of the company although it will take a long time to compete with the current market leaders in this field. At the same time we do not want this side of the business to detract from our existing rental business. Currently our newly introduced website we sell water coolers, drinking fountains and also accessories associated with the water cooler industry and already we are gaining vast amounts of interest and as a result our search position within search engines such a Google, Bing, MSN and Yahoo to name but a few is increasing by the day. It will be very interesting to see how this project goes.
